Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy, born November 25, 1968 is a Canadian actress. Her roles on American television shows like Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her main character. She has also acted in films like RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted as well as the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, the latter of which she co-wrote and directed. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father was a meat and marketing sales and marketing executive. The position required significant traveling and the family had to move frequently. Maxine, Maxine's secretary mother was the last to leave the family in 1982. Eleanor, Eleanor's paternal grandmother, looked after her daughter, who lived in Kitchener. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister and is a journalist from Canada and host. Hennessy has Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian and Swedish heritage from her father. predominantly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She went to Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both located in Kitchener, Ontario, and was busking on the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sibling made their acting debut playing twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. According to Gillian Anderson (the actress who played the part), she was shortlisted for Dana Scully's role in The X-Files. In 1993, Hennessy was signed by Dick Wolf as Claire Kincaid, assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role was occupied for three seasons before she left the show in the year 1996.
