The highlight of their collaboration was finishing 15th in the World Figure Skating Championships in 1998. Their relationship ended in 1999 and Semenovich teamed up together with Roman Kostomarov for one season. Kostomarov is her 2000 Russian bronze-medalist. They competed together in both the 2000 European Figure Skating Championships (ECSC) and the 2000 World Figure Skating Championships. Their partnership was also successful, as the pair were awarded the Finlandia Trophy on two occasions and competed at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. The partnership achieved great things however it was their 15th position finish at the World Championships in 1998 that was the culmination of their friendship.
